Melinda Morang

Melinda Morang moved to Redlands from Michigan in 2012, and instead of remaining bummed out that there was no community orchestra nearby where she could play the bassoon, she set out to rectify the problem. Drawing from her experience as board president of her orchestra in Michigan, Melinda pushed the right buttons and planted the right seeds, and the Redlands Community Orchestra was born. When not playing the bassoon or founding orchestras, Melinda works as a product engineer at Esri, making awesome mapping software even awesomer. She also enjoys birdwatching, public transit, high quality TV dramas, and random bits of arcane knowledge.
