We will earn our patrons’ enthusiasm by engaging our community, developing our talent, making responsible business decisions, and providing innovative musical performances to our growing audience.
Who we are
The Redlands Community Orchestra (RCO) is an all-volunteer, regional orchestra, performing for our community, to experience the joy of live music within our community. We welcome orchestral musicians of all ages and from all walks of life, whether a student, a working professional or retired, we are proud to have everyone from the hobbyist player to the professional musician. Founded in 2013 by Melinda Morang, RCO held its inaugural concert on November 10th, 2013. We are an independent, 201(c) (3) non-profit community ensemble consisting of roughly 60 orchestral musicians. RCO presents three concert programs per season. RCO has an average of seven consecutive rehearsals before each concert.
Our repertoire spans almost 300 years, covering everything from Baroque to Classical, Romantic to Modernism, Impressionism to Neoclassicism; from Bach to Mozart, Haydn to Beethoven, Liszt to Tchaikovsky, Brahms to Strauss, Dvořák to Saint-Saëns, Shostakovich to Copland. We also premiere new works by local composers every year.
